Duke Pep Assembly @ WHS!

The traditional DUKE PEP ASSEMBLY was held Friday afternoon at WHS, just hours before the big crowning of this school year's DUKE!

All the candidates and their escorts were on hand, the band played, the color guard performed, the cheerleaders cheered, students, faculty and parents looked on as the end of the school day and Spirit Week approached. Oh yeah, the Senior Boys did their rendition, if you will, of RADIO CITY MUSIC HALL'S "ROCKETTES"! Quite the performance!! :)

Jax Cornejo - Pioneer League Spelling Champ! (Updated)

WMS had a solid group of Knights and Lady Knights take part in the Pioneer League Div IV Championship Tuesday. Congratulations to all of them for their participation, that takes considerable nerve and composure to participate in these kind of events and to do so at middle school age says a lot about this group of 5!

Kudos to Jax Cornejo who finished FIRST in the 7th grade division - he won it all, spelling the word Methuselah correctly! Great job Jax!

Lady Knights SWEEP Again!

The WMS Lady Knights have worn out a few brooms already this season and there's still "5" regular season games to go for the 7A & 7B & 8A & 8B squads, who Monday SWEPT their opponent (Mulvane), the 5th SWEEP this season by the girls in red. 11/30 vs Haysville West - SWEEP // 12/11 vs Ark City - SWEEP // 12/14 vs Clearwater - SWEEP // 1/4 vs Winfield - SWEEP and now Mulvane. Great Job Ladies!

Your 2017-2018 Formal Duke Pics!

It is time to meet your 2017-2018 Duke Candidates! Formal Pics were taken on Sunday of the candidates and their escorts.

A big week ahead for all of them and for all of WHS! This is SPIRIT WEEK with different "Daily Themes" all week long, the door-decorating contest Mon-Thu, the traditional Duke Pep Assembly on Friday (2:30PM)., and the Duke Formal Dinner during lunch Friday! (The Royal Treatment)

RED 4 BLUE 1 / Crusaders vs Indians

Season records continued to improve Friday evening for the Crusader and Lady Crusader basketball programs. In league action at Clearwater HS, Wellington was able to put up "4" victories in "5" games, not a bad day's (or evening's) work at all!
