Service Day 2018
WHS Students fanned out across our fine community Wednesday, volunteering their services in a variety of ways at a variety of places. Freshmen stayed at the high school and worked hard, a good part of the morning, with Spring Cleaning chores and more.
Upperclassmen dispersed to inside and outside destinations, from the Police and Fire Departments, to various parks and other public venues. Several helped out at the Senior Center and other similar facilities. Even a house or two got a fresh coat of paint! All of the elementary schools had Crusaders around, assisting with cleaning or painting or academic enhancement through reading and other interactions with the younger students. The Memorial Auditorium got a good sweeping, all of the chairs were wiped down and storage closets cleaned and organized.
Here are some pics - great job today Crusaders - you helped a lot of folks in a lot of ways. Thank you to Mrs. Karla Defore at WHS for her major role in all of the day's activities and to others that pitched in to work with the students as they tried to make the community just that much better through their volunteer endeavors this 11th day of April, 2018.
