Grammy Nominee Performs @ WMS!

The 6th grade students at the Wellington Middle School were treated to a special concert on Thursday, November 16th.

Paul Bogart, Grammy Nominee for Country Song, Country Album, American Roots Song and Gospel Song this year, performed a few of his favorite songs for the 6th grade students and staff members.

Several of the MTSS groups wrote their very own songs during MTSS time and shared them with Paul.  The students and staff enjoyed the show and the stories Paul shared with them.

Congratulations Lexi Saffell - our new WHS Duchess!

A tradition that began back around WWII days continued Friday evening at Sellers Park! Senior Lexi Saffell was crowned the 2017-2018 WHS Duchess. Lexi's escort was Hayden Baker. Other candidates included Mekenna Adams, Abby Lowe, Jenna Rausch and Jill Wiley. Other escorts included A.J. Snipes, Ian King, Austin Sears and Jaden Adams. Seniors Gracie Fink and Arlis Troutman were the child escorts for Charley Wilmoth and Reed Wellington.

Duchess Pep Assembly 101917

The traditional DUCHESS PEP ASSEMBLY took place Thursday afternoon out at WHS - ordinarily held on game day and coronation day (Friday), this year it was on Thursday since school won't be in session Friday. Big crowd on hand to meet the Duchess Candidates and their escorts, watch them compete in a game or two...the Cheerleaders kept everyone fired up along with the Crusader Band!!
