WHS FFA Pays a Visit to the FOOD BANK!
The Wellington FFA Chapter took more eggs to the Wellington Food Bank on Friday before the holidays. The Chapter has donated 22 dozen eggs this fall. The chickens the chapter is raising have begun production and will continue well into 2020. Students are cleaning and grading eggs before they go to the food bank. Eggs have also been donated to the High School and are being used by the kitchen staff in preparing meals for students.
This summer the Wellington FFA Officers attended the State Conference for Chapter Leaders (SCCL) where along with over 200 other FFA Officers they packed over 5000 bags of macaroni and cheese dinners. Today the FFA took four cases (144 bags) of meals that they packed to the food bank so families could enjoy them over the holidays and into next year. The Wellington FFA Chapter wishes everyone in Wellington and the surrounding areas a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
