Wellington Crusader APP - Bank of Commerce

October 2017

This Class has GOOD TASTES!

Mrs. Lawless' Culinary Arts class at WHS were busy making treats for a Halloween party Tuesday.

As part of the project, they discussed cost, color, and proper table layout that allows guests to receive their food and drink in an organized manner.

Great times! Great looking treats!! (And I suspect - Great tasting!!)

Lady Crusaders Advance To Semi's @ Volleyball State 4A!

A big, big event in Salina Friday for our Lady Crusader Volleyball squad and their coaches. It was State 4A Volleyball Tourney time and the stage was set. In one Pool, the Lady Crusaders (#6 seed), Ulysses (#3 seed), Independence (#2 seed) and El Dorado (#7 seed).

In the other Pool, Rose Hill (#1 seed), Louisburg (#4 seed), Basehor Linwood (#5 seed) and Bishop Miege (#8 seed).

In first match action, Ulysses defeated the Lady Crusaders in two sets, 19-25, 16-25.

WHS Pumpkin Carving @ Kennedy!

Kudos to the Community Connections class at WHS, instructed by Mrs. Karla Lawless. Her students held a fundraiser recently and with the proceeds purchased PUMPKINS to share with students at Kennedy Elementary just down ole Crusader Road.

Students from Mrs. Lawless' class as well as WHS LEADERSHIP students took part in the pumpkin cleaning and carving activities Monday and Tuesday this week with the 3rd graders at Kennedy. I think all the "kids" younger and older, were having some fun!
