After a tough loss on Thursday vs Kingman, the WHS varsity boys bounced back, downing the Conway Springs Cardinals 56-35, advancing to the 5th place game on Saturday vs the host, Chaparral, at 2:30PM. The WHS 2018-2019 Duke Candidates were announced at WHS Friday. Congratulations to this year's selectees! Coronation will be on Friday, Feb. 1st during halftime of the Boys Varsity Game in the main gym.

The Crusaders hit the courts Thursday night at Chaparral in the nightcap game of Day #2 of this year's (the 48th) Roadrunner Classic. #6 seed Wellington took on #3 seed Kingman and fell short, final score WHS 53 KHS 60. A huge 3rd qtr for Kingman (26 pts) , erased Wellington's 10 pt. halftime lead and then some. #2 seed Ark City defeated #7 seed Conway Springs 65-53 to advance and will meet Kingman on Friday @ 8PM. Conway Springs will square off against the Crusaders on Friday @ 4:30PM.
The Wellington Crusader Wrestlers played host to Andale and Augusta Thursday evening at WHS in double dual action. On the evening, Augusta went 2-0, Andale 1-1, and WHS 0-2.
