Almost a SWEEP for the Wellington Lady Crusaders, but the Buhler JV Lady Crusaders squeaked out a 6 pt victory over our younger squad, the Varsity Lady Crusaders won with authority though - results, stats and scoring below:
The CRUSADERS hosted the Crusaders (Buhler) Tuesday afternoon and evening out at WHS. The northern Crusaders with quickness, hot shooting and precision passing, not to mention a Paul Bunyan sized center on their Varsity Squad, proved to be too much, the local red team dropped all "3" boys games to the visitors - here are the outcomes and individual scoring:

The WHS boys let the game get away from them after battling hard early on. Final score was Buhler C-Team Boys 51, WHS 32.
The WMS 8th grade Lady Knights Monday evening in the PIONEER LEAGUE TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONSHIP game vs El Dorado at Mulvane MS, dotted every "i", crossed every "t", and iced every "cake" - this, their 30th game as Lady Knights, would also be their 30th VICTORY - these young ladies NEVER LOST the past two seasons! AWESOME!
Congratulations to the Wellington Middle School 7th Grade Lady Knights Basketball Team!!! After winning the "regular season" PIONEER LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP, with only 1 loss, they now have added the end of season PIONEER LEAGUE TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONSHIP to their repertoire! Way to go Coach Whaley and Lady Knights!
