The Wellington Crusaders had "6" student-athletes in competition on Saturday at the Regional 4A Cross Country Meete at El Dorado State Park. 

In the Girls 5K, Mackenzie Heacock broke her own WHS School Record with her personal best time of 22.21, finishing 13th. Mackenzie missed qualifying for the State 4A Cross Country Meet next weekend at Wamego by just 1 place. Katrina Dvorak finished 36 with a time of 24.57.

On the Boys 5K side, Chase Pfalzgraf finished at 19.42 (40th), Tyler Brown at 19.55 (44th), Toby Henning at 20.56 (69th) and Jacob McDonald at 20.57 (71st). Both Toby and Jacob ran their personal best times Saturday as well.
