Wellington High School hosted the KSHSAA Girls 4-3-2-1A Regional Wrestling Tournament this past Saturday, and at the end of the day two Crusaders stood as THIRD PLACE MEDALISTS and STATE QUALIFIERS!!  Junior Aubrey Hunt and sophomore Kaylee Horinek both survived to the consolation championship and both pinned their opponents to secure third place finishes in their weight classes!  These two extend their season into the state tournament which will be held in Salina February 22-23.  

The rest of the Lady Crusaders end their season at Regionals, with several girls just one win short of qualifying to State.  Since there are no seniors on the girls team, we can expect that many if not all will be back at it next season!
