Hargis Creek and Wellington played host to over 400 middle and high school runners this Saturday for the annual Wellington Cross Country Invitational.  Eleven Wellington High School athletes medaled!  Additionally, the varsity Lady Crusaders took 2nd as a team behind Valley Center.  Goddard High took home the trophy for the boys’ race.

The Wellington athletes camped out in style and were protected from the sun that muggy morning with the debut of their new (and very spacious!) team pop-up canopy tent donated by Chad Davis and family.  What a thoughtful and I’m sure much appreciated gesture!!
