The Varsity Lady Crusaders defeated the Collegiate Lady Spartans this evening, @ Collegiate, in OT! Down 6 at halftime, the Lady Crusaders stayed within range in the 3rd and riveted it up in the 4th, with "5" Lady Crusaders scoring, to knot it @ 39. Great job Ladies!!

In a "substitute" make-up game Monday evening at Conway Springs, the Varsity Lady Crusader basketball squad downed their host Conway Springs 65-28!

WHS Junior Hagen Wright (285 lbs) finished 2nd at the Circle HS 4A Regional Friday and will advance to 4A Sub-State action next Saturday in McPherson. A top 4 finish there will place Wright in the 4A State event in Salina at the end of this month, for the 2nd year in a row. Congratulations Hagen - good luck @ McPherson on the 20th!

As tradition would have it, the DUKE PEP ASSEMBLY and then later that evening, the DUKE CORONATION took places out at WHS on Friday. Both before smaller crowds than usual due to COVID health restrictions but both just as meaningful, with this  year's Duke Candidates featured at both.

Congratulations to all the candidates and in particular, our NEW DUKE - Rayce Koerner! Great Job Rayce!

This year's candidates in addition to Rayce were Kade Adams, Colin Green, Tanner Meyer and Berkeley Wright.
