Volleyball C Team debuts at home

The freshman/C Team for WHS Volleyball held their first home quad last night against Augusta, Clearwater, and Mulvane.  The Lady Crusader were able to get a win at the top of the night against Augusta, but lost in to both Clearwater and Mulvane in three sets each.

JV Volleyball wins over Buhler, Clearwater in three sets each

JV Volleyball was a high-energy affair last Tuesday!  This group thrived under the scrutiny of a home crowd and showed real perseverance and positive attitude, taking both Buhler’s and Clearwater’s teams in three, at times close, sets.  The JV team is coached by Moriah Delgado.  Congratulations, Lady Crusaders, and keep up the good work!

Eleven high school cross country athletes medal at Hargis Creek

Hargis Creek and Wellington played host to over 400 middle and high school runners this Saturday for the annual Wellington Cross Country Invitational.  Eleven Wellington High School athletes medaled!  Additionally, the varsity Lady Crusaders took 2nd as a team behind Valley Center.  Goddard High took home the trophy for the boys’ race.

Varsity Tennis wins back-to-back home meets

Wellington was back in action at the 9th Street courts yesterday evening for their second home varsity meet in as many weeks, and once again, the Lady Crusaders won the quad.  Coaches Aufdengarten and Adams swapped in some different varsity players from last week for their shot at a hometown performance, including senior Scout Douglas and freshmen Gracie Thomson, Addi Thomson, and Sienna Goodrum.
