Following the DUKE CORONATION @ halftime of the Boy's Varsity basketball game vs Rose Hill (which we won 60-57!) on Friday, Valentine's Day 2020 - and after the game, the action shifted to the Commons area for the annual & traditional DUKE DANCE until 11PM. WHS Yearbook was there with "3" cameras - recording the event. Congratulations again to the new DUKE, Quinn McCue. Looks like Quinn and everyone else had a good time!
Congratulations to the Wellington High School Crimson Dancers who competed at the "Innovative Dance Classic Wichita" on Saturday at Newton High School. They performed a precision jazz routine and won a Division III rating. Thanks to the fans here, who also helped them win the social media banner!

It was an exciting finish for the Varsity Lady Crusaders Friday vs Rose Hill. Wellington relinquished their lead down the stretch and the Lady Rockets knotted it and went ahead by 1 in the waning seconds of the contest. Clutch FT's by Sophomore Ali Zeka, who with 2 late in the game appearances at the charity stripe, sunk 3 of 4 and with 5.5 seconds on the clock, Wellington had a 2 pt margin and hung onto it for the win!

The Crusaders jumped out early on the Rockets Friday at WHS and led by 8 points at halftime. Rose Hill cut that deficit in half by the end of 3, finding themselves down just 4. A high scoring game by Wellington's Junior Tanner Meyer would eventually seal the deal for the home team! Tanner pumped in 14 in the 3rd, keeping the visiting Rockets at a distance. Final score was RHHS 57 WHS 60!
