The REGIONAL 4A Track & Field Meet was held Thursday at Andale HS. Top "4" Finishers in each event are now STATE 4A Track Meet bound at WSU next Friday and Saturday, "5" of them are WELLINGTON CRUSADERS! Congratulations to Taylor McGlothlin, Brooke McCorkle, Taylor Meyer, Eric Kop and Chase Pfalzgraf!

After a rain delay from Monday, the Crusader Baseball boys resumed action in the first of 2 semi-final games to be played Wednesday, before the championship game nightcap (so to speak). Up first Mulvane - a late rally by the Wildcats came up short - WHS 6 MHS 4:

What a fun evening at WHS on Wednesday - it was Class Night, an event full of awards and recognition, and more - including the distribution of laptops to those in the graduating class that filled out the local scholarship application via the Guidance Office, making themselves eligible for that possibility.
It was Regional 4A Softball time in Ark City Tuesday, mother nature cooperated more than she had the night before in Winfield for the Regional 4A Baseball Tournament, which was rained out after the first game, that will conclude today, beginning at NOON for the Crusader Baseball boys.
Congratulations to Freshman Blake Saffell and Senior Ty Wilson for their 1st place and 5th place respective finishes today at the Regional 4A Golf Tournament hosted by WHS at the Wellington Golf Club. Awesome job gentlemen! Both will advance on to the STATE 4A Tournament in Emporia on the 21st.
Gridiron action in May? Yep - it was Powder Puff Football time at Sellers Saturday night, with 2 games going at once.
In opening action, on the north half of the field, the Seniors squared off against the Freshmen and on the south half, the Juniors took on the Sophomores. After 40 minutes of "running clock" play, the Seniors defeated the Freshmen 38-26, the Juniors edged out the Sophomores 17-12.
It was hot, sunny (AND WINDY) as throngs of athletes descended on WHS's home track for AVCTL DIV IV League Meet action Friday. 5 hours or so later, the Andale Indians, both boys and girls, claimed DIV IV League Track Titles. The Wellington Crusaders, both boys and girls, claimed runner-up honors. Team scores for both genders shook out as follows:
