WHS Girls Golf made their first team visit in program history to the 4A State Tournament on October 17-18. After dominating many of the regular season tournaments and taking 1st at League and Regionals for a total of 7 tournament wins on the season, the team traveled to Emporia for the final show. Coach Ginter reports:
Our ladies were very excited and nervous about state as it was the first time in our program's history that we had qualified as a team.
Girls Tennis wrapped up its season the weekend of October 14-15 at the KSHSAA 4A State Tournament hosted by Bishop Miege in Prairie Village. The same five state-qualifiers from last year returned to the final tournament this year, and for three seniors this appearance marked the end of their high school tennis careers.
The Circle High School football team came to town October 14th boasting a 5-1 record with their only loss coming from McPherson. They were undoubtedly expecting another win from the 3-3 Crusaders, but Wellington had other plans.
