The Wellington High School Band, under the direction of Allen Hisken, performed their "Christmas Greetings" concert Monday evening at WHS, with a limited crowd of parents/guardians and a few media folk. It was a night of musical tradition, leading off with "HERE COMES SANTA CLAUS" by Gene Autry & Oakland Haldman / arranged by Paul Murtha. That followed with "HAVE YOURSELF A MERRY LITTLE CHRISTMAS" by Hugh Martin & Ralph Blane. This number, arranged by Philip Gordon.
It was "A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS" moment with Linus & Lucy, O Tannebaum, Skating, and Christmas Time is Here. All arranged by Paul Murtha.
The CROWD SELECTIONS for the evening were, Joy to the World, Silent Night, Deck the Halls, We Three Kings, O Tannebaum, Up on the Housetop, O Come, O Come Immanuel, Away In A Manger, The First Noel, and We Wish You A Merry Christmas.
The finale, JINGLE BELLS, arranged by Andy Clark.
