Kenny Fehrman - SHRINE BOWL 2021!
48th Annual KANSAS SHRINE BOWL @ Hutchinson
WHS Lineman Kenny Fehrman ended his “HS” football career Saturday at the Shrine Bowl in Hutchinson. Playing for the WEST squad, Fehrman and his teammates downed the EAST team by a final score of 14-0. The WEST’s first score came in the first quarter at the 9:07 mark. Ty Sides 59 yd pass from Andrew Koury (Carter Brown kick). The 2nd and final score came late in the 4th at the 4:36 mark on a 6 yd run by Tanner Cash. (Carter Brown kick)
This was the WEST’s 12th victory in the past 16 years (or close to that). The WEST has won 3 straight years now. The annual event began back in the middle 70’s. The Shrine Bowl is a multi-day event with a banquet, parade, golf tournament, 5K run and more. The event is a huge fundraiser for Shriner Hospitals for Children. All proceeds from the Kansas Shrine Bowl benefit this network of 22 hospitals.
Congratulations Kenny on fine Crusader representation at Hutchinson Saturday.
Congratulations also, for stellar wrestling and track careers as well – a state medalist in both. Great Memories!
