Coach Aufdengarten's Report:

We had a decent day at the Circle tournament.  Five of the eight teams will be in our regional so it was an important day for us.  Wellington got everybody in medal contention from the start of the meet.  Wellington‘s highest finish was the number two doubles team of Kadynce Aufdengarten & Ashlyn Gerten who went 3-0 good for 1st.  That is their second straight meet that they have won.  Wellington‘s number one singles player Kami Reichenberger went 2–1 on the day good for a second place losing in the finals to Frederick from Buhler. Wellington‘s number two singles player Logan Robinson finished second in her second straight meet, after receiving the #3 seed.  She disposed of the number two seed 8–3 and barely lost in the finals 6–8. Logan is continuing to improve and hit the ball well today. The number one doubles team of Jensen Lynnes and Lyric Cornejo received the number three seed and finished in that spot. They lost to Andover Central in their second match and beat Circle to take third.  Wellington brought home the 2nd place plaque, after tying Buhler for first with 59 points.  This is the tennis teams second straight meet that they have finished in first or tied for first. It’s always a good day when you can get all four entries to medal.

JV Tennis also competed the same afternoon at Winfield and took 1st at that meet.  Individual results as follows:

#1 Singles - Crystal Ramirez - 3-0  1st
#1 Doubles - Sawyer Parkey/Kendall Janzen - 3-0  1st
#2 Singles -
#2 Doubles - Alyra Koerner/Jordan Koehn - 2-1
