Crusader Golf takes 4th at McPherson
The juniors of the Lady Crusader Golf program were joined by sophomores Kenna Maxwell and Ava Bales and freshman Bella Angleton for the McPherson Invitational at Turkey Creek on Thursday and shot their lowest team score of the season so far! The team placed fourth behind 5A schools Kapaun-Mt. Carmel and Andover and the 2023 4A State Champs Topeka-Hayden.
Both Bella Angleton and junior Haley Gulick shot PRs with scores of 94 and 102, respectively. Taryn Viramontes placed 9th with a 77 with teammate Claire Ginter on her heels with a 78 for 10th place. Presley Cornejo shot a 92 and Ava Bales shot a 104.
Congratulations to the whole team for their season-low score, to Taryn and Claire for medaling, and to Bella and Haley for their PRs!
The team has a busy week this week with JV invitationals on Monday and Tuesday at Willowbend Golf Club and Hesston Golf Course and a varsity tournament at Hesston on Friday.
