JV Tennis debuts at home
The JV Lady Crusaders are well into their tennis season (League is Oct. 3!), but this Monday was the first opportunity to play for a home crowd at 9th Street.
Senior Scout Douglas filled the #1 Singles slot and hustled her way to 1st place after her win percentage broke a three-way tie. Freshman Madalynn Wonser also found herself in a three-way tie for 2nd place in #2 Singles, and her win percentage also declared her the winner of 2nd place. Berkeley Easterberg, a freshman, also played singles for a pick-up team comprised of half Wellington-half Goddard-Eisenhower players.
For doubles action, Wellington had three pairs on the court: Sienna Goodrum and Scotlyn Ewing for #1 Doubles, Georgia Shinliver and Sullivan Parkey for #2 Doubles, and Emma Norris and Laney Meeker playing on the Wellington/Eisenhower hybrid team with Berkeley. Shinliver and Parkey finished in their division in 2nd place.
