A neat thing happened at the beginning of this week! Senior Ralph Cornejo, who swam a state consideration time in the 100 Yrd Butterfly at AVCTL Division III/IV League last weekend, learned that his time was good enough to allow him to compete at 5-1A State Swimming starting today held at the Shawnee Mission Aquatic Center in Lenexa! (Diving preliminaries began yesterday)

Let’s wish Ralphie lots of luck today as he competes in the 100 Fly!

Also, let’s congratulate his senior teammate, Rome Hunt, on an admirable season and career, as he wrapped up his high school swim career at league this past weekend. Rome also swam a state consideration time in one of his events on Saturday, but sadly he didn’t get the call up to go to state.
