CTE - America's Future Workforce Starts Here @ WHS!
The 9th Annual CTE (Career & Technical Education) Showcase was on slate Wednesday evening at WHS - impressions? impressive!!
There are an ever growing number of career pathways for the CTE students at WHS to choose from. Career Technical Education (CTE) provides students of all ages with the academic and technical skills, knowledge and training necessary to succeed in future careers and to become lifelong learners. Education, more and more, is focusing on real-world workforce needs in our communities and beyond. The students at WHS have the opportunities to acquire construction and welding skills, horticulture skills and applications, opportunities for certification with various software programs, opportunities to learn java programming, web and graphic design, culinary techniques, health science occupations, business operations, videography, photography, newscasts, and more! CTE allows students to discover abilities they may have never recognized. Achievement is a great feeling. (CLICK HERE)
And check out the new DUKE'S DEN! The students worked hard getting the store up and running, including the real-world behind the scenes planning, accounting, business analysis and other business concerns. Much more is planned for the store so stay tuned!!
