The Varsity and JV Lady Crusaders hosted Augusta Friday at WHS - it was HOMECOMING and our ladies each chalked up W's for the occasion! The Varsity Lady Orioles came in at 8-6 and both teams battled it out until the very end...final score AHS 47 WHS 48!! In the 4A West Sub-State Division, our Ladies are presently in 7th out of 18 teams...that weekly updated bracket can be found at this link.

The Crusader Basketball programs hosted their counterparts from Augusta Friday evening and what a busy evening it was! In addition to "5" basketball games, DeAndre Washington was honored during the Varsity Girls halftime for his invitation to this year's SHRINE BOWL.A new DUKE was crowned as well, during the Varsity Boys halftime. The 2018-2019 WHS DUKE was crowned Friday evening at WHS during halftime of the Boys Varsity game. Congratulations to DAKOTA LYNNES, the new DUKE who now reigns over his Crusader-dom...Other candidates included Devin Dickinson, Chase Pfalzgraf, Nic Reyes, and DeAndre Washington! Congratulations to all of them as well. Their escorts for the many ROYAL occasions this past week have been Jacelyn Buck, Skylar Troutman, Taylor Meyer, Juliette Hyer, and Arielle Pottier.
The WHS DUKE PEP ASSEMBLY was held Friday afternoon at WHS...the candidates and their escorts were put through the paces, all in fun of course. The band played under the direction of WHS Student Julian Burden, the Cheerleaders and Crimson Dancers and Flag Team all performed as well. Check out the pics at the link below!
