Volleyball Frosh/Sophs host quad

The Freshman/Sophomore Volleyball team hosted a quad yesterday with Circle, McPherson, and Andale.  Jenna Rausch (WHS '18) has joined the volleyball staff and coached this squad in their first home action of the season.  The girls had a nail-biter of a first match against Circle.  Wellington lost the first set, but rallied and won the second 28-26, and their momentum carried them to a win 15-12 in the third set.  The rest of the night went a little rougher, with losses to McPherson and Andale.  This is a spirited group of athletes with a lot of potential, though!

Volleyball splits in Collegiate triangular

Varsity Volleyball was at Wichita Collegiate tonight for a triangular with Rose HIll and Collegiate. Coach Hopper reports it was a little bit of a rough start coming off of the four-day weekend with a loss to Collegiate in two sets (17-25 and 11-25), but the team rallied and beat Rose Hill in three sets (25-23, 21-25, 25-22)! Hopper says, "We improved with each set and we look forward to carrying the momentum into next Tuesday!"
