Congratulations to WMS 8th Grader Jaxson Irey! Jaxson finished in first place today at the Sumner County Spelling Bee held at WMS. Coming in 2nd was WMS 6th Grader Rachel Ewing! Congrats to both Rachel and Jaxson - WAY TO REPRESENT KNIGHTS!!

For the 2nd year in a row, Sophomore Payton Ginter has qualified for the State 4A Girls Golf Tournament. Last year as a Freshman, Payton competed at State and finished 45th out of 90 golfers, shooting a 105 at the Lake Shawnee Golf Course in Topeka.

The Wellington National Honors Society 2018-2019 Inductions were held at WHS on Sunday, Oct. 7th. There are "23" Inductees, who as members must pledge to uphold the high purpose of the National Honor Society to which they have been selected; they will be true to the principles for which it stands; they will be loyal to their school, and will maintain and encourage high standards of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.

The WHS scholars bowl team was 1 of 30 teams who competed in the pre-seasonEntertainment tournament Thursday at Wichita West HS.  All questions asked revolved around Entertainment.  When all questions had been asked and answered, WHS walked away with 2nd place!  Congratulations to team members Lydia Dridi, Julia Starnes, Dakota Lynnes, Tanner Dillon, Mason Lough, Gabe Hyer.

Wellington's "2" Doubles Team qualified for the State 4A Girls Tennis Tournament next Friday and Saturday in Topeka at the Topeka-Kossover Tennis Center located at 2501 SW Gage Blvd. Congrats to Kylie Aufdengarten/Rylee Rusk who finished 2nd and Jacelyn Buck/Calli Hatfield who finished 4th at the Regional 4A Tournament Friday in Winfield. The TOP 6 advance.
