The young Crusaders started off strong but their Rocket counterparts took control of the game late in the first quarter and sustained it through the end. Final 40-22.

The Lady Crusaders were 2nd as a team for the second straight year at the AVCTL League Tournament! "All the girls stepped it up Monday and helped with the team", Coach Aufdengarten reports.
" #2 Doubles Natalie Henning and Olivia Brand got the 5 seed and upset Winfield in a third set super tiebreak 16-14. The pair then lost their next two and finished 4th overall. Very proud of these two, they have played singles most of the year and to finish in the top 4 in our league is awesome.
The IRONDUKES took their show on the road for the 3rd time this season and for the 3rd time, came HOME with a "W"! Now 4-1, the Crusaders downed (0-5) Rose Hill 38-7 in Friday night action at the Home of the Rockets.
The Freshman Lady Volleyball squad hosted Augusta, Buhler and Mulvane Thursday in "QUAD" action at WHS. The young ladies in red battled hard, going 1-2 on the evening, defeating Mulvane and coming up just short vs Augusta and Buhler - all "3" set matches.

The WMS 7/8 Girls Tennis team wrapped up "HOME" play Thursday at the 9th St. Courts vs Ark City Middle School - The Lady Knights dominated Ark City winning 11 matches against 2 losses. Way to finish strong, ladies! Best of luck at the league tournament on Tuesday. Individual winners yesterday were: Kami Reichenberger, Jensen Lynnes, Crystal Ramirez, Emma Stover, Aubree Mason, Alyra Koerner, Lyric Cornejo, Kendall Janzen and Aubrey Hunt.
The WMS and WHS Choirs had their first performances of the 2018-2019 school year (if you don't count the awesome Lawn Concert just before school began in August!), at Wellington High School Tuesday evening, under the direction of Jessica Coldwell and accompanied on the piano with Jeanie Escobar. It was VOLLEYBALL action time Tuesday at WHS, the last home stand for the 2018 Lady Crusader Volleyball Squads. "7" Seniors and their parents were honored...this is a group that has played together a long time - very familiar faces that will be missed. Andale dominated the action on the courts, downing Wellington and Rose Hill, each in 2 sets. Rose Hill came out on top of Wellington in 2 sets also. In JV action, same outcomes.
