BRIDGE WORK 2023 Update!
Varsity Volleyball was in action today in El Dorado and results are as follows:
v. El Dorado (W)
25-16, 25-11
v. Clearwater (L)
19-25, 25-22, 13-25
Nice win over El Dorado and way to take it to three with Clearwater!
The varsity squad is currently 3-3 on the season.
Next Varsity action will Tuesday, September 5 at Rose Hill, and C Team will be home this Thursday at 5pm.
Wellington hosted a season-opening varsity tennis quadrangular with Goddard Eisenhower, Buhler, and Wichita Independent today. As a team, Lady Crusader Tennis placed 3rd with two medalists: Kadynce Aufdengarten/Lyric Cornejo were 1st in #1 Doubles and Addie Hinshaw took 2nd in #2 Singles. The rest of the Lady Crusaders–Kendall Janzen in #1 Singles and sisters River and Scout Douglas in #2 Doubles–each got a win over Wichita Independent in their first outing of the season.
INDIVIDUAL RESULTS
Girls Tennis had their team and individual pictures taken by the various local media yesterday evening--here's the wellington.cc set!
The Lady Crusaders finished 3rd in their first tournament of the season held yesterday, August 26 at Wichita Trinity. The girls were competitive against some very good teams and made some strides in adjusting to changes in the lineup and rotation due to injury.
Next action is a triangular on Tuesday, August 29 in El Dorado.

Next up in the fall team photos lineup is Crusader Football! We're digging the new red helmets! Team pics were taken by local media in the late afternoon of Wednesday, August 23. The current roster sits at around 70 players, including 15 seniors. Andale will host the Crusaders in our first game of the season Friday, September 1.

Volleyball was first up for the controlled chaos that is Wellington's version of "Media Day" for high school sports. The team photoshoot was Wednesday afternoon and the athletes made the rounds to all the four photo stations: Susan's Portrait Designs, wellington.cc/WHS Yearbook combo, Sumner Newscow, Wellington Daily News.
