South Woods Park was the place to be Saturday afternoon if you were cruising about our fine south central Kansas community. "9" teams squared off in the annual "Slate Creek Depot Great Race" with participants from "7" different states according to the race's founder and director Mr. Jack Potucek. The skies were cloudy and for late July, seasonably cool with the thermometer reading 88 as the race began.
Some fun baseball action on July 28th at Hibbs-Hooten...some recent grads (mostly 2015) and present Crusader varsity players squared off in a pick-up game if you will - 9 innings of Crusader brotherhood and family...these pics speak to that. It was great to see everyone even though they just graduated 2 years ago! (They're always in a hurry to get out of high school and then they can't wait to get back) - that is called "normal" and I love it!! CRUSADERS FOR LIFE!
More than 50 young folks were on hand for Day 1 of Zane Aguilar's 2nd Annual Crusader Developmental Camp out at WHS Monday evening...the camp runs through Tuesday evening. Wednesday and Thursday's Camp will feature the WMS Knights!
