Lady Crusader Tennis Finishes 3rd @ Tough Home Opener Tues!

Very hot day today but some very good teams here.  Buhler is ranked 2nd in 4A, Conway Springs 3rd in 321A, Sacred Heart 4th in 321A, and Wellington 4th in 4A.  We finished 3rd as a team where I expected.

Couple of new freshman filled in Jensen Lynnes at #2 singles and went 2-2 good for 3rd.  Eventually she ran out of steam, a little bit longer matches that in middle school and she had some really long points.

Nice Turnout for Volleyball/Pizza Car Wash!

Postponed from Friday, due to rain, the 2019 WHS Volleyball Car Wash Fundraiser was moved to "Labor Day" from 1pm to 5pm. The location remained the same, behind BIG CHEESE PIZZA in downtown Wellington. Nice, steady crowd early on, great day for the event and a great week ahead to enjoy your clean cars and sunny skies!! The "team" appreciates the support they received greatly!

WHS Football Saturday Scrimmage Highlights!

The WHS Football team had their annual "Saturday" Scrimmage, a warm-up scrimmage if you will for next weeks' Crusader Club Hamburger Scrimmage at Sellers Park on Thursday, Aug. 29th beginning at 5:30PM. Lower temps and cloud cover made the morning scrimmage much more bearable than it would have been otherwise had the higher temps hung around. Here are some highlight pics from scrimmage action.

Day 1 Pics @ Wellington High School

Tuesday was ORIENTATION day at WHS, the Jrs. and Srs. spent the morning together, rotating between different orientation sessions, including distribution of their Chromebooks for this coming school  year. Students also rec'd new lanyards for their STUDENT I.D.'s, compliments of IMPACT BANK. At noon, the Freshmen and Sophomores made their ORIENTATION DAY appearances and completed the same processes as the upperclassmen had just before them.
