The WHS Varsity Track squad took the short drive to Dragon Country on Tuesday to participate in the Belle Plaine HS Invitational Meet. It was a SWEEP Monday evening at Hibbs-Hooten Field for the Varsity Crusader Baseball boys who move to 4-4 on the season, after losing 3 of their first 4 games by just 1 run. Gage Cunningham went the distance in Game 1 (Winfield 4 WHS 7) and it was Brayden Higginbotham in the nightcap, wrapping up the evening 2 innings shy of normal, final Winfield 2 WHS 13. Congrats gentlemen - keep it rollin'!!

The WHS Boys Golf Team hosted over a dozen area teams today out at Wellington Golf Club! The Crusaders had a very good day, finishing 2nd (312), just 2 shots out of first behind Goddard (310).
Winning "first" recently at the Business Professionals of America State Leadership Conference in Wichita (and consequently, a trip to Nationals in Anaheim, CA in early May), the KWHS NEWS TEAM stepped up again on Wednesday.
