The Varsity Crusaders 2021 season ends but with some positive moments, this week and last for sure. In the first half at Andover Central, the defense was solid and surprised the Jaguars with numerous stops, forcing punts and turnovers. Some miscues on offense took away opportunities to score and by halftime, the home team Jaguars began to pull away. One highlight for me at the game, as departing, I heard what appeared to be two Jaguar dads talking about Wellington as I made my way through a small crowd of folks. "Wellington has a lot of tradition, and I admire that". The other responded, "indeed". That made me proud, for about the millionth time. I smiled at both of the gentlemen and walked on by. GBR

One of my favorite quotes about football (and life)... "Perfection is not attainable. But if we chase perfection, we can catch excellence." It will happen, and happen again! Proud of our "chins up" team and I look forward to the future!
