The AVCTL Division III & IV Varsity Tennis Tournament was held Monday, October 7 at McPherson, and Coach Aufdengarten and team, as usual, took the opportunity to mix it up a little and swap out doubles partners. For #1 Doubles, junior Cruz Cornejo partnered with classmate Logan Robinson, and senior Kadynce Aufdengarten paired with freshman Addi Thomson for the #2 team. Senior Addie Hinshaw and sophomore Ellie Hays rounded out the team at #2 and #1 Singles.

Coach reports that he was pleased with the team’s 4th place finish in what is often regarded as the toughest 4A league in the state.

Outcomes:

#1 Singles - Ellie Hays 1-2 (7th)

#2 Singles - Addie Hinshaw 2-1 (5th)

#1 Doubles - Robinson/Cornejo 2-1 (2nd)

#2 Doubles - Aufdengarten/Thomson 2-1 (2nd)

Robinson, Cornejo, Aufdengarten, and Thomson all earned Second Team All-League honors.
