EIGHT Lady Crusader wrestlers qualified for the STATE tournament this past weekend!

February 15 was a GREAT day for Lady Crusader Wrestling at the McPherson regional! The team continues to make history, doubling the programs previous record for state qualifiers with EIGHT out of ten wrestlers competing at this year’s regional tournament!

Every wrestler won a match and contributed to team points, and Wellington finished in 5th place (just behind host McPherson) out of 30 teams present.

-FIFTH PLACE TEAM FINISH (out of 30 teams!)

100 - London Pourner - Fr - 6pts - 6th Place (STATE QUALIFIER)

110 - Aubri Rohrer - Jr - 13 pts - 6th Place (STATE QUALIFIER)

115 - Caroline Mott - So - 5pts - 8th Place (STATE QUALIFIER)

130 - Maddie Fullerton - So - 18 pts - 4th Place by Med. Forfeit (STATE QUALIFIER)

135 - Georgia Shinliver - Fr - 9 pts

145 - Mikayla Ybarra - Jr - 11 pts - 7th Place (STATE QUALIFIER)

155 - Taylor Olson - Fr - 3pts

170 - Kaylee Horinek - Sr - 20 pts - 4th Place (STATE QUALIFIER)

190 - Maddie LeValley - Jr -11 pts - 5th Place (STATE QUALIFIER)

235 - Natalie Burnett - Jr - 19 pts - 2nd Place (STATE QUALIFIER)

Sadly, freshmen Taylor Olson and Georgia Shinliver’s seasons end this weekend, but they will be back next year with a vengeance with this group! We’re proud of your efforts, girls!
