The WHS Scholar's Bowl Team - participated in an 18 team tournament Monday @ Chaparral HS and did better than 17 of the other teams! (i.e. GOT FIRST PLACE!!!) Awesome bunch...!!

The Wellington Crusader Wrestlers hosted their annual Varsity Invitational Saturday with 14 teams in total on scene. Those teams varied in size though. The Crusaders had only "4" wrestlers in action on the day, still managing to finish 9th out of 14 teams with 3 of the 4 medaling. Here are the individual and team results from Saturday's action.
It was Round #2 Thursday evening of this week's CHENEY TOURNAMENT which will culminate in Cheney this Saturday. The (2-0) JV Girls continued their winning ways from Tuesday's action in Chaparral, downing the JV Lady Greenbacks 57-44. The (1-1) Varsity Lady Crusaders ran into a hot shooting, fast moving group of girls who eventually pulled away from the home-town team for a 58-39 victory.
It was Round #2 Thursday evening of this week's CHENEY TOURNAMENT which will culminate in Cheney this Saturday. Both the Varsity and Jr. Varsity Crusaders were victorious over the Greenbacks, the Varsity Boys moving to 2-0 on the season under WHS Graduate and New Head Boys Basketball Coach Joe Newman. The JV Squad got their first win of this very young season and are now 1-1.
