The Lady Crusaders, both Varsity and JV were victorious Monday evening in their "make-up" games at Winfield HS, postponed in mid-January due to weather.

The Wellington High School Special K Basketball squad saw HOME action Friday, hosting a team from Derby in front of a packed gym of fans and supporters for both squads. It's one of those many times throughout the year, you walk away from WHS feeling proud of the students and your community.
Wellington has "2" squads that rotated in and out, the RED team and the WHITE team - it's time to meet the athletes!

Female High School Students Earn Awards for Aspirations in Computing
Kansas City, Mo.— Feb. 9, 2018 – As part of an effort to encourage more young women to choose careers in technology, the National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) and Commerce Bank of Kansas City will recognize 18 high-school women for their accomplishments and aspirations in computing and technology at an award ceremony and reception at Kansas City Power & Light. on February 9. 2018.
WHS Forensics competed at Medicine Lodge on Thursday.
Lizzy Santana earned 5th in Poetry, Austin Harriger and Gabe Hyer earned 4th in Improvised Duet Acting.
Gabe Hyer won 1st in his Prose event qualifying him for state and festival!

The 2017-2018 WMS Knight Wrestling Squad had their first HOME action Thursday evening in the main gym at WMS. Visiting Prairie Hills, Haysville and Winfield would complete the double-dual and Wellington would emerge in the end with a split, defeating Haysville 66-42 and falling to Prairie Hills 42-54.
(Prairie Hills defeated Winfield 48-48 <tie-breaker H / first points scored>, Winfield defeated Haysville 52-44)
So on the night, it was Prairie Hills 2-0, Wellington 1-1, Winfield 1-1, and Haysville 0-2
