The IRONDUKES scrimmaged at WHS Saturday morning. The younger boys in red took to the field first, followed later by the upperclassmen. Several fans were on hand to watch as well. This is the "warm-up" scrimmage before the big HAMBURGER SCRIMMAGE on slate for Thursday, Aug. 23rd at Sellers Park.

The WHS Choir and Band hosted a fun event Friday evening on the lawn outside of WHS. Neives' Tacos, Brown Box Bakery Cupcakes, and music, music, music. Enjoy these pics and look forward to some video from the event in the not-too-distant future! Proceeds from the event were going towards the Choir's trip to Carnegie Hall in NYC this coming school year!
Fall practices continue, wrapping up their first week with the start of school just around the corner. Students will return to class on Tuesday (Aug. 21st), regular season action in Football, Volleyball, Girls Tennis, Girls Golf and Cross Country will soon follow! The CONDITIONING TEST in mid-August always kind of signifies the end of the SUMMER workouts and training, and it's a great gauge too for the student-athletes to see where they are "conditioning-wise"!
2-A-Days begin on Monday for football, all the other Fall Sports begin Monday as well!! Let's make it a great FALL across the board!!!

Head WHS Football Coach Zane Aguilar has spent about a quarter-century around football, and he's only in his early 30's! He loves the game, playing it and coaching it, and that becomes very clear after just a few minutes of dialogue with the Ironduke's CEO. Not only that, the guy can sing!
This week is WHS BAND CAMP! Stopped by Tuesday morning and took pics of the group rehearsing different "marching" patterns, etc. Great group of young folks! Looking forward to the first HOME FOOTBALL GAME - always awesome when they march in playing the fight song!! The band's director is Mr. Ben Olson.

Student-athletes at WHS have been training all summer through PSQ, through camps, through special training - all to be as physically and mentally prepared as possible when Fall Sports Practices (Football, Volleyball, Girls Tennis, Cross Country, Girls Golf) begin. These pics were taken during HIGH INTENSITY TRAINING one morning last week, the training had moved inside for the day due to wet conditions outside...they train hard and they have fun.
