Men's and Women's XC Teams are Champs at Chaparral

The men's and women's  teams traveled to Chaparral High School's cross country Invitational on September 14, and BOTH TEAMS placed 1st!  Plaque pictures are courtesy of Coach Ledesma, but the cross country athletes also brought back a couple of Yearbook cameras full of pictures.  Check those out below!

Per Coach Aufdengarten:

Top finishers were #2 Doubles Kadynce Aufdengarten and Logan Robinson who won their first two matches 8-0, and barely lost the championship match in a tiebreak.

Hargis Creek Cross Country Meet HS Results

On Saturday, September 9, Wellington held its annual home cross country meet for high school and middle school at the Watershed at Hargis Creek.  All together, there were 465 runners who participated in the day, and we had 18 high school runners participate across three events.  The Lady Crusaders had enough participating in the 2-mile to comprise a team, and they took 1st!

Varsity Tennis brings home Circle tourney plaque

WHS Girls Tennis participated in an 8-team tournament Thursday in Circle and took 1st Place! Additionally, both doubles teams were champions in their brackets!

Lady Crusader Golf keeps competitive at Winfield

The Lady Crusader Golf Team competed at Winfield Thursday in the season’s first full 18-hole tournament and finished strong in 3rd behind Winfield and Bishop Carroll. Taryn Viramontes and Claire Ginter also individually placed in 4th and 5th, respectively. This is now the third of three tournaments so far that sophomore Taryn has placed in the Top Ten!

Freshmen Ava Bales and Kenna Maxwell also competed in a JV 9-hole scramble and placed 2nd—just one stroke out of 1st Place!
