WHS Downs Mulvane (Sweeeet) / Ark City Advances in Championship Win

After a rain delay from Monday, the Crusader Baseball boys resumed action in the first of 2 semi-final games to be played Wednesday, before the championship game nightcap (so to speak). Up first Mulvane - a late rally by the Wildcats came up short - WHS 6 MHS 4:

Powder Puff Seniors / 2-0 & Braggin' Rights!

Gridiron action in May? Yep - it was Powder Puff Football time at Sellers Saturday night, with 2 games going at once.

In opening action, on the north half of the field, the Seniors squared off against the Freshmen and on the south half, the Juniors took on the Sophomores. After 40 minutes of "running clock" play, the Seniors defeated the Freshmen 38-26, the Juniors edged out the Sophomores 17-12.

Andale Wins League Track - Crusaders Come in 2nd @ HOME Meet!

It was hot, sunny (AND WINDY) as throngs of athletes descended on WHS's home track for AVCTL DIV IV League Meet action Friday. 5 hours or so later, the Andale Indians, both boys and girls, claimed DIV IV League Track Titles. The Wellington Crusaders, both boys and girls, claimed runner-up honors. Team scores for both genders shook out as follows:

BOYS: Andale 214, Wellington 92, Mulvane 85, Clearwater 76, Rose Hill 62, Collegiate 24

Lots of color at this Crusader Choir Concert!

The Wellington High School Crusader Singers and Choir performed their Spring Concert Thursday evening in the auditorium. Brad Ewing was on top of the sound and lights, a very colorful and well performed concert in front of a large crowd of parents, friends  and fans. Multiple numbers, including 8 solos and more, all directed by Jessica Coldwell - all well received by those in attendance.
